South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir made their debut appearance at New York’s historic Carnegie Hall. The performance was sold out and the group received multiple standing ovations to end the night. The performance was part of Carnegie’s Spotlight on the Music of South Africa Series.
The Choir shot to fame after appearing on season 14 of America’s Got Talent, where they were the first choir to ever make it to the final of the famous talent show.
Though they had previously played in New York, this debut performance was a major milestone for the group, who posted a photo of the “Sold Out” sign on Instagram with the caption “Dreams do come true!”
What’s Next?
MWI is currently booking Ndlovu’s North American tour for next summer! The group will be playing across the United States and Canada, and would be a great addition to next year’s summer festival lineups.
